Psalm 46:10 Be Still

Psalm 46:10-Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

People of God, the command is to "BE STILL"! This stillness we are called to is not in physical movement, not in our service unto the Lord, but in our mind. Resting in the assured promises of God's Word is where we are being called on today. A place of peace, assurance, rest and confidence in God. A place that is contrary chaotic nature in times of trouble and distress.

It is in the Word of God where we will see that God is Supreme Authority. It is in the Word of God where we will see with our spiritual eyes that God is alive and still in control of all the affairs of the world, including your life and mine. Be still! As the young people would say, “chill out!"

Our God is unshakable and immovable. He is a Faithful Promise Keeper and a Sure Foundation.

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT THE LORD, HE IS GOD!

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for He is worthy of our praises.

Be still and know that God got you!

James 1:22 Faith Hears & Then Do

James 1:22 Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

The Apostle James is writing to Christians who are scattered abroad due to persecution for their faith.

The call is for the church of Jesus Christ ( body of believers), to not only hear the truth of God's Word, but to also do what it says. In other words, hearing is good, but obedience and application of what we heard in the Word of God is even better. Faith must be put to work in order for it to produce evidence. Talk is cheap! Faith hears and then do.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him” (Heb. 11:6, NLT).

When we hear the word of God, and don’t do what it says we are only deceiving ourselves. God already knows the truth and it will eventually be revealed to others also.

How can two walk together unless they agree! Faith without work is dead! Which are you walking out in your life? Hearing alone or hearing and doing? Believe it or not, but hearing and doing cannot be separated, faith and works cannot be separated for they both go hand in hand.

What kind of fruit are you bearing? Scripture declares that a man is know by the fruit he or she bears

Remember, faith hears and then do. Be not hearers only but also doers of the Word of God.

God bless.

Ephesians 5:15-16 Choices

Ephesians 5:15-16 See then that you walk carefully, not as fools, but as wise men,16 making the most of the time because the days are evil.

The Wisdom  of God is calling you on today.  We are reminded in scripture that “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” (Prov. 4:7, ESV).

Every fork in the road and every cross roads of life requires a decision on our part. Throughout our entire life, on a daily basis, 24/7, we are making countless choices that determines whether we live as wise or as fools.”

Wise decision is not based on self examination of anything else, other than the wisdom of God that is found in His Word. Yes, it is through the seeking of the Lord's guidance and His wisdom that we make wise choices.

To choose wise or foolishly started in the garden of Eden with our first parents, Adam and Eve and the choice is still alive today with you and I.

The unwise decision by Adam and Eve in eating the forbidden fruit did not bring a sudden physical death, but a sudden spiritual death that caused man to be separated from God.

In all our decision making, we live the consequences of the choices we make, be it good or bad.

“Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil” (Prov.3:7, NIV).

People of God, it’s decision making time for ALL of us!

God bless you all!

Proverbs 25:11 Encourage

Proverbs 25:11-A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

Encourage one another! This is the call today to all believers.

If there ever was at time when people need encouragement, the time is now.

We live in a world where people can be very cruel in the hateful, disrespectful and painful words that comes out of their mouth to others or concerning others.

Our text reminds us that like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken in right circumstances.

Words are important, that is why we must make it a habit of choosing the right words in our communication with others. Our words can either tear down or build up.

God is calling His people to build one another up. To come together as a unified body in building up one another and building up others who are in need of being lifted up out of the mindset of hopelessness and defeat.

Proverbs 15:1-A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 16:24-Kind words are like honey--sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.

Believe it or not, but we encounter people everyday that are silently hurting. They are discouraged and could use a word of comfort or an act of kindness.

What are we speaking? Does it lift up and encourage or tear down and discourage?

Are you making it a habit to encourage others or discourage them? What is your motive concerning your fellowman?

1 Thessalonians 5:11-Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

Let us all pray today that God would grant us the wisdom needed to speak words that are “fitly spoken” in hopes of building up and encouraging one another.

God bless you all.

Matthew 6:15 Let It Go

Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Is there someone that you need to forgive on today?

Perhaps you have been painfully wounded by a friend, a child, a spouse, a sibling, a coworker, a neighbor or even a church brother or sister.

Whoever it is that has offended you and have caused you much pain and unforgiveness, God is willing to help you forgive them on today.

Let it go and give it to God on today for He alone is the one who can help you forgive.

Ask God to give you a heart to forgive those who hurt you the most. Those whose hurt against you feels so deep.

The heart that forgives is the heart that lives free from the pain of the past.

Believe it nor not but unforgiveness  does not imprison your offender, it imprisons you.

Forgiveness allows you to move forward  in your relationship with God and in His work that He has assigned to our hands. LET IT GO!!

Forgiveness starts with the decision to forgive. Trust God on today to help you forgive and He will do just that for you.

Instead of a prayer of wrath and revenge on behalf of His enemies, Jesus prayed a prayer of forgiveness for them with these profound words "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do".

This must be our prayer on today for all those who have hurt and wounded us in one way or another.

When we decide to forgive our offender, God in turn will forgive us, but if we choose not to forgive our offenders, Jesus says that we too will not be forgiven.

Let our prayer on today be one with a heart of forgiveness for those who have caused us to harbor unforgiveness in our hearts towards them because of the pain and hurt we believe they have caused towards us.

LET IT GO!!! Tell God you are now willing to let Him have it.

God bless.

Luke 18:1- Persist In Prayer And Never Give Up

Luke 18:1-He told them a parable to illustrate that it is necessary always to pray and not lose heart.

Of all the things God commands us to do, being persistent in prayer proves to be the most difficult for so many people.

In our text on today Jesus exhorts His disciples to always pray and never give up when he said “men ought to always pray, and not give up and quit.".

Believe it or not,  as corrupt and as chaotic as this world is in which we live, Our God, The Sovereign God, has the ultimate say so in all affairs. Why He allows certain things? He alone knows.

The widow woman in this text is proof to us that persistent prayer of faith works! The unjust judge may have had no respect for God or man, but the will of God concerning this woman was done!

People of God, I can only hope and pray that this day you have found yourself in a place of perseverance in persistent prayer to God our Father who promises to hear and answer our prayers of faith.

 GOD BLESS!

Proverbs 14:3 Prideful Or Humble?

Proverbs 14:3- NLT-A fool’s proud talk becomes a rod that beats him, but the words of the wise keep them safe.

MEV-In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride, but the lips of the wise will preserve them.

Nothing speaks more to who we are than our words and our actions.

King Solomon, whom the bible describes as the wisest man ever lived, other than Jesus Himself, gives us a comparison of a foolish man and a wise man based on what is spoken from their lips.

King Solomon plainly states that the lips of the foolish are filled with punishment because of their pride.

Throughout scripture we find God's command to stay away from a "prideful heart" for God hates it. Proverbs 16:5-Everyone who is proud in heart is a shame to the Lord. For sure, that one will be punished.

Where pride is, there is shame and disgrace, but where humility is, there is wisdom.

Pride is foolish. It cost nothing but it can take away everything!

Pride produces 3 deadly poison that is still ruling and reigning in the hearts of many even on today. They are (1) the lust of the flesh, 2) the lust of the eyes, and 3) the pride of life.

Scripture declares in Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

I leave all of us with this point on today and that is, “OUR WORDS MATTERS.”

Believe it or not, but prideful words opens the door for satan to destroy you.

Pride destroys you, but humility and wisdom keeps you safe.

SPEAK TO OUR HEARTS LORD!

God bless.

Matthew 10:40 The Gospel Must Be Delivered And Received

Matthew 10:40 He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

In chapter 10 of this text, Jesus had been warning His disciples about  the different kinds of persecution they could possibly suffer for the sake of the Gospel.

In our key verse, after having warned His disciples of what's to come for them in the future, Jesus also gives them a words of encouragement by telling them in vs#40 of this text that not all will reject your message for some will respond and welcome it and receive it and by doing so, they are accepting Jesus and God the Father who sent Him.

John 1:14-And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Matthew 24:14a- And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations.

People of God, remember that you are not responsible for making others accept God's Word, your duty is to put it out there.

I want to end with one point about this lesson today. There is no way that anyone can claim to have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and at the same time, reject those whom God sends into the world as His Ambassadors.

I am speaking of those who boldly claim "I am saved, I believe in Jesus, I read my bible daily, I love God and His Gospel" and then turn around and reject those whom God sent.

Here is what Jesus says concerning this type of mindset and behavior in Matthew 12:30-This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse.

Remember, Jesus said "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me."What a blessing and honor it is to be one of His "sent-ones."

Thank you Lord, for you alone are God and worthy of all the praise, glory and honor.

People of God, GO!!!

God bless.

Psalm 9:1-2 Give Thanks To The Lord

Psalm 9:1-2 I will give thanks to You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will declare all Your marvelous works. 2 I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

Psalm 107:31-32 Let them praise the Lord for His goodness  and for His wonderful works to the people! 32 Let them exalt Him in the congregation of the people, and praise Him in the assembly of the elders.

1 Thessalonians 5:18- In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Every day is a day of thanksgiving unto the Lord our God.

People of God, give thanks unto the Lord on today for He has been and still is good to us.

If you are above dirt and have breath in your body, we MUST give thanks unto our God for He alone is God and He alone is good.

Open your mouth and tell God thank you on today!

We have more reasons than we can number as to why we should give God thanks.

TELL GOD THANK YOU PEOPLE OF GOD!!!!!

Give thanks to the Great and Holy One for He has given us His son Jesus Christ as the atonement for our sins.

Praise Him on today with your whole heart. Sing praise unto His name people of God.

God bless.

John 4:1-26 An Unexpected Encounter At Jacob's Well

John 4:1-26 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,  2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. 4 And he must needs go through Samaria.

5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am He.

God bless.
