Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
This Memorial Day as we reflect on our military veterans who have sacrificed thier lives so that we can enjoy freedom in this country cannot fully be explained. Their willingness to sacrifice thier life so someone else can live is beyond human reasoning! WOW!
The word of God reminds us to remember those who labor before us. In Joshua 4:7, God commanded the Israelites to set up stones as a memorial so that future generations would not forget the great works He had done. In a similar way, we remember the valor and courage of our fallen heroes. Their stories, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment serve as a reminder of the price paid for our freedom.
Memorial Day reminds us of the cost of liberty. It is a day to reflect upon the extraordinary courage and selflessness displayed by our fallen heroes, and also, the selfless display of Jesus, who also willingly gave of Himself unto death, for the saving of the “souls” of all of humanity.
We not only honor our military for the sacrifice of their lives for freedom in this county, but we also honor our Savior Jesus who sacrificially gave His life so that the entire world could be saved and spend eternity with Him and God the Father in heaven, if they confess and believe, caccording to Romans 10:9.
Happy Memorial Day To You All
God bless!
