2 Timothy 3:1-5 From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

In His time of trouble and distress, King David cries out to the Lord these profound words. “Lead me to the “ROCK’ that is higher than I.” Is this your prayer to the Lord right now? If I could be honest for a moment, this should be our collective prayer to God every day. In a world full of chaos, confusion, trouble, and unrest, we need our minds stayed on Christ. Without Jesus, we are like ships without a sail, but on the Rock (Jesus), we are safe and secure in Him.

When the world is in peril, as it so clearly is today, our own strength is simply not enough to withstand the "wreaking havoc" of the enemy.

The need to depend on Christ in a chaotic world is greater now than ever! We must purpose in our hearts to stop trying to fix the world around us on your own. If not, we will burn out. True mental peace doesn't come from our own thinking or efforts, but from letting go and letting God take the lead. His power starts where ours ends. King David knew this well!

Today is the day to cast your cares upon the Lord for He cares for us!
