John 16:33 - "I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
Life is full of uncertainties. The reality is that we will face hard times. Jesus warns us of this painful truth in our text. The good news in the midst of this profound truth is Jesus’ declaration to us: "I have overcome the world."
Are you in an unexpected storm right now? The storm you are facing may be real, but your “Anchor” is unshakeable.
God is calling us to stop trying to survive the waves, and ask Him to help us rest in the One who already overcame the world.
Once we have walked through a dark season of despair and witnessed Jesus lead us out of it, our lives change. Guess what? Our own rescue creates a deep desire within us to help others get through their own difficult times.
We serve a God who anchors us in the storm, fills us with peace, and then uses our past pain to bring hope to a hurting world that is currently in peril. Trust Him today people of God!
Lord, we need Your help! This world is indeed in peril, but our hope and trust are in You alone!
God bless you all, and thank you for enjoying the ride with Jesus here on this Sunday!
