Isaiah 40:29-31 - He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
When discouragement makes us weak and exhausted, God provides divine strength to help us soar, run, and walk without giving up.
People of God, let's be honest with ourselves: everyone grows tired at times! We put on a brave face, we dress up on Sunday, but behind closed doors, we are running on fumes.
The Prophet Isaiah reminds us on tonight that even the young and the strong men stumble, fall, and face total exhaustion at times. If the strongest among us can hit a wall, we must realize that human willpower has a breaking point also.
The daily weight of life’s trials, pressures, and burdens are simply too heavy to carry on our own. We try to carry the bills, the family issues, and the silent heartaches all by ourselves, but the load is crushing. This is why God says to us, “Cast all your anxiety on him, because he careth for you” (1 Pet. 5:7).
People of God, for the Lord to help us, we must first admit our weakness. God already knows what our struggles are, but He wants us to humble ourselves and confess them to Him. You can't receive His strength until you finally let go of your own.
The good news on tonight is that while we run out of gas, God never grows faint or weary! His battery never dies, His grace never runs dry, and His power has absolutely no limits! Good God Almighty! When we wait on Him, He exchanges your depleted strength for His supernatural power.
Look at how our God restores us: Soaring on wings like eagles, running without weariness, and walking without fainting.
Sometimes in life, the greatest miracle is simply having the quiet grace to take the very next single step without falling down.
People of God, when you can’t fly, keep walking, when you can’t run, keep stepping, because when you are down to nothing, God is up to something!
Stay focused! Keep your eyes on Jesus! Do not look at how far you have left to go. No, keep your eyes on Jesus as He leads us along the way.
I leave you with this today: Discouragement may hold you back for a moment, but divine strength is moving you forward for a lifetime!
