Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.
People of God, aren’t we so glad for the truth in today’s scripture? God changes not!
We live in a world where everything seems to be changing right before our very eyes. The years come and go, the culture shifts, and human behavior changes constantly. People will love you today and leave you tomorrow. They will make promises they cannot keep, and they will shift their standards depending on which way the wind blows.
God changes not! Think about that for a moment. God’s love in the past guarantees His love in the present. Consistency is something we may rarely think about, but it is very important in every relationship, including our relationship with God.
People of God, no matter what is going on in your life or in this world, God cannot and will not change. The Lord our God is an ever-present God, even in the time of trouble. He remains your rock. When your heart is breaking, He remains your comforter.
Do not look to a changing world for an unchanging hope. Lean on the Savior who was faithful yesterday, today, and forever.
Rest easy tonight knowing that the same hand holding your future is the one that has never failed you in the past. Your victory is secure, and your hope is built on a rock that will never roll away.
When you look back at everything that has changed in your life—the seasons, the relationships, the highs, and the lows—isn't it amazing that the only constant has been His grace? If He kept you through all of that shifting sand, what makes you think He won't hold you steady through whatever comes tomorrow?
People of God, take a deep breath, let go of your worries, and rest your soul in God’s unchanging hands tonight. You don’t have to figure out tomorrow because Jesus, the one who loves you, has already gone ahead of us to prepare our way.
Be encouraged tonight, keep the faith, and stand firm because our God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.
If we try to anchor our souls to the things of this world, we will find ourselves drifting on a sea of uncertainty.
When the shifting winds of life blow everything else away, God’s unchanging presence is the one thing left standing.
