Acts 1:6-8 The Power To Witness This Advent Season Is Within Us

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth

The disciples questioned Jesus by asking Him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” Jesus responded with these words. “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority” (v7).

Jesus redirected the Disciples thought away from trying to figure out God’s plan, to finding their purpose and fulfilling it. The goal here is for the disciples, and us to pursue and fulfill God’s plans for our lives, which is to be God’s witness in the earth. We can’t figure God out!

God’s Holy Spirit power indwelled us at the point of salvation. In this power given to us is the fruit of the spirit, which is the character and conduct of God that is described as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

This advent season, the most powerful message we can give isn’t a testimony or sermon, but the way we live our life through the fruit of the spirit.

The world in which we live is in desperate need of witnesses of godly love for one another, and peace in our hearts, and relationships with one another.

My prayer is that these next few weeks of the advent season, our actions will be one of the fruit of the spirit that is revealed through our deeds and our actions towards one another.

People of God, we are called to be partners with Christ in ushering in the Kingdom of God on earth. We are called to be the hands and heart of Christ in this lost world.

This Advent season let our joy be a vehicle for Christ to transform us and those around us.

I leave us all with this reminder that we are Christ witnesses who are called to proclaim His first coming as Savior, and His second coming.

The greatest Gospel message this Advent season is seen in our actions of love towards one another. With love being the first action, the other fruit of the spirit will follow.

CAN I GET A WITNESS?

God Bless.

Deuteronomy 3:18 Never Will I Leave You Nor Forsake You

Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV. The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

God makes an everlasting promise to us on today! He reminds us that He will NEVER leave nor forsake us, but instead, He will be with us through this life and all of eternity!

Never alone! Did you hear that? God is speaking to you! God is making you a promise of his everlasting presence with you! Receive this word from God on today concerning you!

There is no one in creation who can make this promise! Guess what? Our eternal God can, and He just did!

O what a promise! God’s everlating presence with us! “Emmanuel, God with us” (Is. 7:14, NIV).

When the enemy of your mind comes to torment you with his lies about God not present with you, rebuke that lying thought from your mind, in the name of Jesus, and begin to concentrate on God’s promise of His everlsting presence with you.

Not sure who this is for on today, but God is calling you to be encouraged! He is right there with you!

God bless.

Jeremiah 1:5 God Forenew Me

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Today is my 66th birthday, and I am reminded that it is the Lord my God who had predestined before the foundation of the world that I would be born this day 66 years ago. It is the Lord God alone who knows the plans He has for us.

Lord, I thank you for keeping me over the years through danger seen and unseen. I thank you Lord for keeping me in my right mind, even at times when the cares of the world made me thought I was going to loose it! Lord, I thank you for the blood of Chirst!

Thank You Lord for saving me!!! Great is your faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Thank you Jesus! I love you Lord!

Ephesians 4:31-32 Forgiveness

Ephesians 4:31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Forgiveness! What? You are asking me to forgive someone who has emotionally and psychologically abused me for years? Are you really asking me to forgive the person who violated me over and over again? You are joking right? No, absolutely not! God commands it!

I want to make sure I am hearing what you are saying, because forgiving my abuser makes no sense to me, after all the hurt and pain I endured from that person for so many years.

Without a doubt, you are hearing me correctly. God commands us to “Put aside all bitterness, losing our temper, anger, shouting, and slander, along with every other evil” (Eph 2:31, CEB).

We are commanded to remove ourselves from such behaviors. Instead, God is calling us to be a people who are kind one to another, tenderhearted, and forgiving of each other, even as He forgave us in Christ” (Eph. 2:32 ESV).

As Christians, when we learn to let go of these negative emotions that God is calling us to rid ourselves of,  not only will we be able to freely walk in newness of life, move forward in our relationship with God and others, but we will also be able to live an impactful life of experiencing God’s presence and His power in a much greater way as we minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others.

Let’s walk together in the love language called “forgiveness,” so that we may be witnesses for Christ. God Commands it!

May God richly bless you for you willingness to forgive those who have wrong you.

Job 14:1 A Troubled World

Job 14:1 Job 14:1 “Man who is born of a woman  is of few days and full of trouble."

Indeed, trouble is in the land. Wars and rumors, crime, gun violence, and so many other troubles are plauging this land called earth.

I am reminded of what I use to hear the Saints of old say about trouble when I was growing up as a young girl. They would always say "if it aint one thing it's another.”

It's time to come to Jesus NOW! Today is the day of salvation. The affairs of the world is reminding us that this is the time to seek Jesus with urgency!

Job describeds the days of life as being full of trouble. Is your "SOUL" anchored in God? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Reminder: "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Heb. 9:17, KJV).

Where will you spend eternity? With God or apart from Him? Where will it be?

Ponder these quesitons, and with urgency make up your mind to follow Jesus. Yes, He is calling you to a personal relationship with Him, even now as you read this post.

Jesus is our place of rest. He is "our refuge and our strength in the time of trouble" (Ps. 46:1, NIV).

Trouble seems to be everywhere, but the good new on today is that God is everywhere also. There is no place where God is not!

What are your plans for eternity?

God bless!

Mark 1:14-15 It's Time To Repent Of Our Sins

After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!

The call from Jesus to mankind everywhere is "repent and believe the Gospel" for the kingdom of God is at hand.

The “Gospel” that Jesus preached means “Good News”. The good news about God’s love for the world that was proven through Christ death on the “Cross.”

This “Good News” has the power to bring about salvation in the life of all who would believe regardless of how far you may have gone in sin.

Repent! Come to Jesus, for He is calling you. Can’t you feel God tugging of your heart right now?

Repent is the Greek word Metanoiein, which means to change one’s mindset.

Repentance does not end with the feeling of remorse and guilt.

If a person with a penitent heart is serious about change in their life, action will follow and be proven in the direction and choices one makes from that moment forward.

In other words, after repentance comes action. This action leads to a prayerful life, a life of study in the Word of God, a life that desires to please God, a life of moral living and a  life that knows, understands and applies love for God and love for others through faith in Christ Jesus.

When we accept Christ as Lord and Savior in our lives, we are saying to the adversary and to the world that we renounce sin and evil doings.

There is a bell ringing from heaven to earth. A “Clarion Call” to repentance is being sent forth to every man, woman, boy, , girl, every city and state in America and around the world.

“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jews, then to the Gentiles” (Rom 1:6, NIV).

America, God is calling us back to Him and we must do it now and with urgency!! No more procrastination!

There is a reward for those who choose not to drift away from God in a world where the “wide” road of destruction is getting wider. It’s time to let your nay be nay and your yea be yea. No more double mindedness.

The Apostle Paul describes how one gains this reward, and what it is. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. 8 From now on a crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing” (2 Tim. 4:7-8, NIV).

The question to be answered from this day forward is “ are you willing to repent and turn to God” as He commanded you to do in this text.

The days and years are fleeting! What are you going to do about it?

My prayer is that you ponder these questions today, and answer those thoughts with a desire of surrender to God, with application in your life, while you are still in your right mind.

The choice is ours. Obey God or obey self? Which will it be for you? Both will produce a harvest. One of life everlasting with the Father and one of eternal separation from the Father.

My prayer for the people of America on today is that we would ‘REPENT’ and turn back to God.

I look forward to hearing your personal testimony on today of how you obeyed God and repented of your sins against Him, and how His Holy Spirit is now restoring and leading you into His path of righteousness for His name sake.

God bless.

Ephesians 5:15-16 Redeeming The Time

Ephesians 5:15-16 5 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Redeeming the time! In this text we are reminded to be careful of how we live our lives. Take advantage of the opportunity to live as one who is pleasing in the Lord’s sight.

Redeem the time! Is this what you find yourself doing daily? Where do you stand concerning the wise and the foolish?

Are you walking in the wisdom of God's Word which makes one wise, or are you walking in the ways of a fool doing your own thing?

The time in which we now live is perilous and the days are evil. How we spend our time in making wise decisions based on wisdom found in God's Word concerning our everyday life is of necessity for all of us.

Time is priceless and once time is lost, it can not be regained. Therefore, making the best of the time God has given us should be a priority for all of us, and in doing so we would be counted among the wise and not fools.

Life is short and when it is gone, it is gone. The Apostle James describes life this way in James 4:14- What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears.

Redeem the time for soon it will be gone. I hope we all would heed this word of God that is being sent forth around the world from heaven to every man, woman, boy and girl around the world.

Redeem the time! Now is the time to come to Jesus. No more excuses!!

God bless!

Psalm 30:2 God Healed Me

Psalm 30:2 - Lord my God, I called to you for help,  and you healed me.

The Lord my God! Jehovah Rafah! He healed me! I want to share my testimony.

On December 3, 2023 @ 11:40 am, as service was ending at church, I stood up, and I immediately fell backwards. I felt myself falling, but could not stop it. Thank God I never lost conscience.

The medical team at church came to my assistance immediately and took me to the nurses unit. I was washed down in sweat. My clothes were soaked.

The medical team members at church acted immediately, and God used them to administer the care I needed to avoid me slipping into danger of a coma or even death. It was about eight of them, and they started taking my vitals, and doing things necessary to get my body to cool down, and also get my vitals going back up quickly because my numbers were very low at the time They needed to get me stable quickly. Liquids were given to help restore my #’s. They worked on me until EMS arrived to take me to the hospital.

After arriving at the local medial center, I found out that I had fractured my T14 bone, and that there were 3 additional bones that were fused together. Vitals were still below normal, they took me back immediately and began to place me on IV meds asap. The next day, 12/04/23, I had a 4 hours surgery which was a success on both the fracture and 3 additional fused bones. GLORY HALLELUJAH TO YOUR NAME JESUS!!!! THANK YOU LORD!!!

I stayed in the hospital from the 3rd to the 11th of December 2023. Even on my sick bed, God used me to minister to so many people that were taking care of me, including nursing staff, transporters, radiology techs, dietary staff, housekeeping staff, and many others. GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!!

I have been in a mid and upper body brace that starts a little below my neck, down my chest to my hip section, that also extends to my tail bone on my back. This thing weighs about 10 pounds. I was in this body brace for 6 weeks, and am now being weaned off for the next 3 weeks.

There were days when the devil tried to wreck havoc on my mind. I continued to allow the word of God and the Gospel songs to minister to me, and help bring me through, along with prayer and my faith.

This past Wednesday, I was released by the neurosurgeon, today I was released by physical and occupational therapy nurses. Per call from my primary care physician today, after my visit from yesterday, labs are excellent. I have a 2 month follow up with neurosurgeon. LOOK AT MY GOD!!!

Guess what? GOD HEALED ME!!! I cried unto the Lord and He heard, and answered His servant! He is my Jehovah Rafah, the Lord my God who healeth me! THANK YOU JESUS!!

Your Servant

Today Is Debra's 65th Birthday

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

As I reflect on the past “65years,” I saw good days, I saw days of innocence, happy days, bad days, ugly days, days of joy with uncontrollable rejoicing, celebrations, anniversaries, graduations, marriages, birth, spiritual encouragements and witnessing to self and others. I saw days of unbearable painful, sickness, heartache, ups and downs, days of laughing and crying, days of trouble, days of suffering, days of mountain top experiences, days of valley experiences, days of confusion, uncertainty, assurance, comfort and peace, days of joy unspeakable, and so many other kind of days and emotions.

As I reflect back, even right now, I can clearly see what I did not see back then. I saw where God’s unconditional “LOVE” never departed from me. God was there all the time. I can clearly see that it was Him carrying, me and keeping my mind in perfect peace. God’s Holy Spirit, His Word, prayer, His, presence, power, peace, assurance, comfort, hope, provision, salvation, restoration, spiritual and physical healing, and so many other evidence of His revealing presence with me, even at my highest and lowest points in life.

I can recall so many times when I heard the Holy speak to me saying, “I am with you, never will I leave, nor forsake you. I am your very present help in trouble, I have redeemed you, you are mine, and I call you by name, so I want you to trust me my child.”

Never, not once, was I left out at sea! Good God almighty!! Peace in the midst of life’s stormy seas proved it over and over again! I cried to God for mercy and His great love took the form of ”PEACE” in the midst of my storms. Hallelujah!!!

I am a living testament that when the high tides, rising winds, stormy and sometimes raging seas of life, hurricanes and blizzards showed up in my life, I had an anchor, name Jesus. If you remain anchored in in and out of the storms of life, He will make sure that you pass through them, and you will find safe passage through to your continued destiny in God.

If it had not been for the grace of God, I would have been a hopeless case, but thank God for His “AMAZING GRACE” and mercy that kept me.

But for the “Grace” of God, I am who I am! I got saved and baptized at the early age of 9 years old, but, at the age of 40 I heard a clarion call to salvation April 1998 in a different kind of way, and God’s call to me to the “Gospel of Jesus Christ” came February 16, 2003. it was no turning back. The rest was history!

Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I WILL dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (Ps. 6:3, NIV).

Lord, I thank you for 65 years. I want to be more like you Lord!

I love you Lord Jesus! Thank you for new mercies I see even now!
