James 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
How do we obtain this gift of divine wisdom? To live a life guided by the wisdom of God, we must see that true, practical wisdom does not come from human effort, but as a grace-filled present from a Creator who gives without finding fault. In other words, our perspective has to shift in how we approach our daily struggles. Instead of relying on our own limited intelligence, we learn to look upward to God, who possesses all wisdom.
The Apostle James informs us that while divine wisdom is readily available, it must be received with a steadfast confidence in the character and reliability of the Giver, who is God. We must rest in the absolute assurance of His goodness. When we trust in God’s unchanging character, we open our hearts to fully receive the supernatural direction He offers.
Receiving this “Divine Wisdom” as a gift from God requires unwavering and undivided faith. If we go to God with a doubting heart, we are like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind, which results in an unstable and double-minded life. They are double-minded and unstable in all their ways.
People of God, the choice is entirely ours. We can keep fighting life's storms with our own limited strength, or we can lay down our doubts and receive the gift of divine wisdom. Guess what? It’s time to secure our faith, clear our minds, and lock in our thoughts. Let’s step away from the chaos and move into the steady, reliable peace and unwavering guidance of our generous God.
Chaos cannot control a life that is anchored in Christ. Stop fighting the wind with human strength, tap into divine wisdom, and let God direct your path.
God bless you all, and thank you for enjoying the ride here with Jesus!
