The Triumphal Entry Of A King On A Donkey
Jesus' Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem was a deliberate, symbolic act by which He publicly declared Himself to be the Messiah and King of Israel.
On that first “Palm Sunday” over 2,000 years ago, Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem with a specific message. Unlike earthly conquerors who rode powerful horses to symbolize war and dominance, Jesus chose a donkey, as a symbol of peace and humility.
The crowd that laid their cloaks on the road as a sign of total submission and honor shouted "Hosanna," which literally means "Save us now, but just a few days later, that same crowd that cheered Him on Sunday shouted "Crucify Him" on Friday.
In the words of Dr. Gina Stuart, "what will you do with Jesus?" Good God Almighty!
Jesus is it! There is no other way to God! "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (Jn. 14:6, NIV).
Good God Almighty!
