Matthew 21:23 Holy Tuesday

Holy Tuesday - Losing and Finding Life

Matthew 23:1-2 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. 3 So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach.

This day is often called the "Day of Authority" or the "Day of Controversy.

Holy Tuesday wasn't about miracles; it was about the truth. Jesus returned to the Temple to challenge the hearts of everyone there.

While religious leaders tried to trip Him up with tricky questions, Jesus responded with a wisdom that stripped away their masks.

Through parables like the Tenants and the Ten Virgins, Jesus shifted the focus from 'acting' religious to being truly ready for His return.

Jesus moved the conversation beyond knowing facts about God to actually knowing Him personally. It’s a reminder that Jesus doesn't want our religious performance, He wants our sincere devotion.

The question that echoed in the temple courts that day, and remains to be a question for us today is, are we merely playing a part or truly surrendering to God’s authority in our lives through Christ Jesus.

Hummmm! We all can ponder here!
