Ashes represent what was destroyed. It might be the pain of a broken relationship, the grief of a failed dream, or a devastating loss that feels like the end.

The promise from God acknowledges that while pain, difficulty, and suffering are a part of life, suffering does not have to be the end of the story.

Beauty is the new life that God causes to rise from those exact ruins.
