Matthew 24:6 Trusting God In An Uncertain World

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Night after night, the headlines on our television screens bring the harsh realities of a broken world directly into our living rooms. We watch wars abroad, division within our own nation, and the lingering affects of a global pandemic. We live in an era of constant breaking news alerts, shifting economic tides, and unexpected personal storms.

Uncertainty is a reality of life. There are seasons when the future seems unclear, prayers appear unanswered, and circumstances change unexpectedly. But God promises to clear the confusion and guide your steps. He does not always reveal the entire road, but He always provides enough light for your next step.

People of God, in the middle of a shaking world, Jesus gives us a staggering command. He says, “See that ye be not troubled” (Matt. 24:6,NIV).

He does not say that trouble will not come. He tells us plainly that you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. He tells us that these things must happen. The instability of this world is guaranteed, but your panic is not. Jesus is instructing us to guard our hearts so that the chaos on the outside does not become the chaos on the inside.

When our eyes are on the shifting economy, your heart will shake. When our eyes are on the political division, your spirit will trouble. But when you fix your mind on the Master, He anchors our soul. True peace is not the absence of trouble; it is the deep, unshakeable confidence that the Creator is holding tomorrow.

People of God, while the headlines guarantee that the world will shake, Jesus guarantees that our heart doesn't have to. People of God, be encouraged in the Lord!
