Psalm 34:18- God Is Near You In The Midst Of It All

Psalm 34:17-19 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. 18 The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the contrite of spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Wounded in spirit and broken hearted? Well, if you answered yes to this question, I have some good news for you on today.

Our text not only reminds us of who our God is, but it also give us a promise and assurance of God's ever presence with His people and His deliverance of them in the time of trouble, for he declares that "the righteous cry out and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles."

Did you hear that people of God? The Lord our God hears us and delivers us.

God's deliverance may not necessarily be in the form of  a physical deliverance but it could a "mental" deliverance while you are still in the situation.

God does not have to remove us from a situation to deliver us from it.

We know that our God is Sovereign and He has all power and is able to do any and all things. We can look at creation and ourselves as proof of that!

To all who are wounded in spirit and broken hearted, God's promise to you on today is His "presence" in the midst of your pain, sorrow or suffering Yes, God promises to be with you in the midst of it all.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of them all.

In other words, many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous on a daily basis.

Yes, the righteous WILL suffer, "BUT GOD", He promises to bring us safely through them all.

The promises of God are for those who believe. I BELIEVE GOD!

Wounded in heart and broken in spirit? Cry out to the Lord your God, call upon His name,  for He promises to hear and answer your prayer.

God bless.

2 Corinthians 5:7 Sight Beyond What We See

2 Corinthians 5:7- For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Sight beyond what I see. WOW! Is this your declaration on today?

Is it truly your desire for God to give you sight beyond what you see?

In allowing God to give us vision beyond what we see with the natural eyes helps us eliminate a lot of our cares, worries, troubles, anxieties, past hurts and pains, stress, fear, etc.

What is faith? According to Hebrews 11:1-Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

How do we get this faith that we as believers are called to live by? Well, I am glad you asked because God has an answer for that too n His Word in  Roman 10:17- So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Sight beyond what you can see? Is this your prayer to the Father on today?

In declaring faith in God alone and walking with Him according to His word, you are also declaring that what you see with the natural eyes is not God's truth but your truth. God's truth is found in God's Word.

Let this day be the day that you begin to see beyond what you see through the lense of scripture.

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for removing the scales from our eyes so that we are now able to see what He sees concerning us in the Spirit.

God alone knows what is best for you and I.

Psalm 27 Trust God To Lead And Protect You

Psalm 27:1-14-The Lord is my light and my salvation—Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the refuge and fortress of my life— Whom shall I dread?

2 When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.

3 Though an army encamp against me, My heart will not fear; Though war arise against me, Even in this I am confident.

4 One thing I have asked of the Lord, and that I will seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life,To gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the Lord And to meditate in His temple.

5 For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, In His tent I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; Be gracious and compassionate to me and answer me.

8 When You said, “Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I will seek [on the authority of Your word].”

9 Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor [a]leave me, O God of my salvation!

10 Although my father and my mother have abandoned me, Yet the Lord will take me up [adopt me as His child].

11 Teach me Your way, O Lord, And lead me on a level path Because of my enemies [who lie in wait].

12 Do not give me up to the will of my adversaries, For false witnesses have come against me; They breathe out violence.

13 I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.

14 Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.

Lord, help us to trust you more. Help us to know Father that our every step in life is before your eyes and that nothing happens with us, to us or even against us without your knowledge.

Where there may be weak faith in those reading your Word on today Lord, increase their faith Father.

Give strength to the weak on today Father in knowing that Thou art the Sovereign God and that our steps are daily ordered by you.

Thank you Lord for guiding, shielding and protecting your people in Jesus name.

Romans 12:2 Conformity To The World Is Unacceptable To God

Romans 12:2 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

TRANSFORMED-metamorphoó in the greek. Transfigure, changing form,

The call in this text is for everyone believer of Jesus Christ to be transfigured from the inside out.

The world with all it’s temporary pleasures and desire wants to control our mind and is making every offer imaginable to make it possible, but God wants to transform our mind.

How is our minds transformed? Our minds are only transformed through the written Word of God. The washing of our minds with it.

It is the Word of God that produces the miracle of a transformed mind.

God and His Word is one, therefore, God does not work nor perform apart from His Word.

It is the Word of God that has the power to save, change, transform, deliver and set free. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY!!!

Faith alone in Christ Jesus (who is the Word according to John 1:1) and by the leading of God’s Holy Spirit is our only possibility of ever having our minds transformed.

Will it be easy? NO! Is it possible? YES!

A transformed mind through daily washing of it with the Word of God is the only way to bring about a transformed view, attitude, behavior, obedience lifestyle and direction.

Want a renewed mind? Want to see what God sees? Allow your minds to be transformed by faith in the Word of God through the leading of God’s Holy Spirit.

Immoral behaviors can not be changed by changed behaviors, but by faith in God's Word which has triumphant power through the Holy Spirit to change the way we think makes it possible.

When we have been transformed in our minds as we daily think of God’s great mercies towards us, we are then able to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to Him and in doing so we will have fulfilled our true service of Worship to the Father.

A committed relationship to Jesus Christ transforms us into a better, more Christ-like person.

If you confess Christ as your Savior and your mind is not daily being transformed to the likeness of His through the washing of the Word and the leading of His Holy Spirit, something is wrong!

Renewing and being transformed in the mind is not an option, but of NECESSITY for it is our minds view that helps us keep our eternal perspective in view.

Be ye not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.

God bless.

2 Samuel 7:18- WHO AM I

2 Samuel 7:18-Then King David went in and sat before the Lord. He said,“Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house that You have brought me this far?

Not because of who I am Lord, but because of who you are.

Thank you Lord for loving and caring for your people.. Thank you for hearing us when we call and thank you for catching us when we are falling.

WHO AM I? Who are we the believers of Jesus Christ?

WHO ARE WE? WHO ARE WE THAT YOU VISITS US AND HAVE KEPT US THUS FAR?  Your Word declares dear Lord that we are Yours Lord.

Whom shall we fear? Your Word declares Oh Lord, that we are yours and there is no need to fear for you promise to be with us always, even until the end of time.

Thank You Lord for calling us and claiming us as YOUR OWN.

WE LOVE YOU LORD!

Psalm 25:4-5 God's Way Is The Right Way

Psalm 25:4-5 Make me to know Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.

David’s desire is to be fully trained in the ways of God, by God and by man. David's prayer to the Lord is that God would be his personal teacher and guide as he travel life's journey.

David recognizes his own shortcomings and humanity tendency to stray from God’s directions, therefore he asked God to “teach me your truth,” knowing that his own path wasn’t always right in the eyes of God.

"Just like ancient Israel, many people today still reject God’s direction. While God offers a path of righteousness, humanity often chooses a path of intentional sin, which leads to separation from God.

Man's ways are not God's way, nor are man’s thoughts God’s thoughts. “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death” (Prov. 4":12, NIV).

Everyone of us will spend eternity either with God or separated from God. The choice is ours.

God Himself declares this truth. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matt. 24:35, NIV).

Is it your desire to live a life pleasing to God? If so, do your best to obey God's Word according to scripture by the leading of His Holy Spirit, and God will teach you along the way in what to do and how to do it.

God’s way is the right way!

God bless.

Matthew 6:34- Worry Not About Tomorrow

Matthew 6:34-Therefore, take no thought about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought about the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the trouble thereof.

CEV- Don’t worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today.

In the previous verses before this text, Jesus is addressing fear and worry.

Nothing in this world is guaranteed apart from God, including our tomorrow.

There is no assurance with man that we will have a tomorrow. There is of course a desire to see tomorrow, but only God know the surety of it. Therefore, we are commanded to not be anxious, fearful or worried about tomorrow or what it may bring.

Should we plan for tomorrow? Of course!

James 4:14-15 -What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears. 15 You should say, “If the Lord lets us live, we will do these things.”

There is a song that that the saints of old used to sing when I was growing up that is called “one day at a time.”

The lyrics starts off with these words “I'm only human I'm just a man. Help me to believe in what I could be and all that I am. Show me the stairway that I have to climb. Lord for my sake teach me to take one day at a time.

One day at a time sweet Jesus that's all I'm asking from you. Give me the strength to do everyday what I have to do. Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus and tomorrow may never be mine. So for my sake teach me to take one day at a time.

People of God, the command today is to give our entire attention to what God is doing right now and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.

Will you trust God on today for your now and your future? If you do, He  promise to take care of you.

We can't change yesterday, but we can ruin today worrying about tomorrow. WOW!!!

God bless.

1 John 4:7-21 God Is Love

1 John 4:7- 21- Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this way the love of God was revealed to us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we must also love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us.

13 We know that we live in Him, and He in us, because He has given us His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him, and he in God. 16 And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 17 In this way God’s love is perfected in us, so that we may have boldness on the Day of Judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. Whoever fears is not perfect in love.

19 We love Him because He first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For whoever does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 21 We have this commandment from Him: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Share "LOVE" on today. Yes, even to those who hate and spitefully use you.

John 13:34-35-A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35-By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

God bless.

Proverbs 28:13- Conceal Or Confess?

Proverbs 28:13-He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

Conceal or confess? The choice is ours. We all are guilty of sinning at times.

Willful sin should not be a part of the believers life. Hebrews 10:26-For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.

A believer should not say "I do not care if it is wrong or not, I am gonna do it anyway." That is willful sin.

As believers, our sinful nature should not have reign in our lives, eventhough the desire to do so remains.

We are being made into the image of Christ through the daily washing of our minds with the Word of God, and our obedience to the leading of God's Holy Spirit. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (1Jn. 1:8, NIV).

The choice is our! The truth of the matter is that God already knows everything.  “There is no creature that is not revealed in His sight, for all things are bare and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account” (Heb. 4:13, NLT).

So what should we do when we sin? Hide it or confess it? Well, the old adage is "confession is good for the soul." When we have sinned, admit that we have done wrong, own up to what we have done and ask God to show us mercy.

Sin must be confessed and we must repent of it! Hidden sin will not prosper for scripture declares ”For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 6:23, AMP).

Concealing our sins that are not hidden from God only hurts us in the long run. As the saints of old used to say "what you do in the dark will come to light." Oh how true is this statement!

Concealing or confessing sins? Where do we stand concerning "sin" in our life?

God promises if we confess and turn away from our sins, He WILL show us "MERCY."

God bless.

John 19:16- Nail It To The Cross

John 19:16-Then he handed Him over to them to be crucified.

Jesus death on the cross was no accident. Make no mistake about it! God orchestrated every detail from Bethlehem to Calvary.

Pilate may have delivered Jesus to the cross to be crucified in a cruel and shameful way, but  unknown to Pilate, he was fulfilling God's promise that God made to Himself before the foundation of the world to purchase salvation for our sins by the shedding of blood by His Son on Calvary cross.

The crucifixion of Jesus is our redemptive story.  Without the shedding of His blood there is no remission of sins.

The verdict that came in against Jesus was "Death" by crucifixion.

John tells us in this text that Pilate handed over Jesus to His enemies to be nailed to the cross.

That day as Jesus hung on the cross with nails in his hands and feet, Jesus looked out beyond the crowd and looked into the future where He saw you and I.

At the cross that day when Jesus died, separation between God and man was nailed to the cross.  Through Christ reconciliation between God and man was made possible by proof of a torn curtain in the temple at Jerusalem.

That day at Calvary sin, guilt and condemnation was nailed to the cross in exchange for grace, mercy, forgiveness and salvation. Redemption was complete for Jesus said it is finished!.

What is it in our lives that we need to nail to the cross so we can walk in newness of life with Christ?

What  is it that we need to nail to the cross so we can live in the power of God’s Word.

The call to you today is to come to Jesus and nail whatever it is that is hindering you to the cross for the final payment for our sins has been paid and fully accepted by God.

Nail it at the cross for Jesus has given you permission to do just that.

God bless.
